Outstanding Ukrainian writer Olha Kobylianska was born in Eastern Bukovyna. From her early years, she was drawn to writing: first, she kept a diary, later, she started writing short stories, novelettes and novels. Though, she had no professional education. Olha early took responsibility for caring about her sick father and housekeeping. She was a beautiful maiden, who often fell in love and dreamed to create her own family. But men feared that too smart and sharp-tongued girl. Find out about the story of romantic affairs and disappointments of young Olha Kobylianska in the first part of the film “Olha Kobylianska. Valse Brillante” in the documentary series “The Game of Fate” by VIATEL Studio narrated by Natalka Sopit.

The shooting took place at:

– at the Olha Kobylianska Literary and Memorial Museum in Chernivtsi
– at the Museum of Outstanding Figures of Ukrainian Culture
– at the Olha Kobylianska Memorial Estate in Dymka village
– at the Hotel and Restaurant Complex “Under The Lime Trees”
