Mariia Zankovetska was born in a noble family, was well educated and well bred. She was married to colonel Khlystov. It only remained unexplicable where she got such love to theater from. She was loved by the spectators and everyone who knew the brightest star of Ukrainian theater of the late ХІХ – the early ХХ centuries.
