Mykola Lysenko and Olha O’Connor knew each other since their childhood because their noble families were on good terms. The Lysenkos were the descendants of the Cossack leaders. The O’Connors were the Irish family who had come to Ukraine long time ago. After the wedding, they lived in Leipzig and Saint Petersburg, where they both studied music. Find out about how began the long and not very happy marriage of Mykola Lysenko and Olha O’Connor in the first part of the film “Mykola Lysenko” in the documentary series “The Game of Fate” by VIATEL Studio narrated by Natalka Sopit.

– the cavatina of Oksana from the “Christmas Night” opera performed by Liliia Teliuk
