Mykhailo Hrushevskyi was born in Kholm, a town on the outskirts of the Tsarist Empire. But he spent his childhood in the North Caucasus, where his father was transferred to work. Mykhailo’s father brought him up in the traditions of Ukrainian culture and history. Find out about the story of the first years of the studies spent by young Mykhailo Hrushevsky in the Tiflis gymnasium, and his first passions, of enrolling to Kyiv University of Saint Volodymyr, from where Mykhailo graduated with the Gold Metal, and of the first love stories in the life of the future scientist in the first part of the film “Mykhailo Hrushevskyi” in the documentary series “The Game of Fate” by VIATEL Studio narrated by Natalka Sopit.
