Franz Liszt stayed in Ukraine for about a year. He gave about 30 performances in different cities. And every time after the separation, he returned to the estate of his beloved Karolina, the Voronyntsi in Podillia. The lovers tried to obtain a divorce from Karolina’s husband – Nikolai Sayn-Wittgenstein. But Karolina’s family disapproved her relationship with the musician. Find out about how Karolina tried to move from Tsarist Russia to Europe in the documentary series “The Game of Fate” by VIATEL Studio narrated by Natalka Sopit.

– at the Petro Tchaikovskyi National Music Academy of Ukraine

– the materials of the Stefanyk National Science Library
– the fragments of the films “The Dreams of Love”, “Composer Glinka”
