First, she was called the Beautiful. Then, she was called Olha. She was christened Olena. She became the Princess – the wife of Kyivan Prince Ihor and the mother of his children. She lost her husband, and grief burnt her soul. She was cruel and avenged the offences that had been caused to her. But Olha was among the first people in Kyivan Rus who converted to Christianity. She was the only woman in Kyivan Rus who was recognized by the Church as a saint equal-to-the-apostles.
