They had to emigrate. Then, there were the attempts to find a common language with the new Bolshevik government. Finally, Mykhailo continued his scientific work. The Hrushevskyis found the strength to return to Ukraine that was run by the Bolsheviks. A lot of work was waiting for Mykhailo in the field of science. But the Soviet government would not forgive Hrushevskyi for his History of Ukraine-Rus. There was another exile to Moscow. It became impossible to return to Ukraine. But Mykhailo Hrushevskyi would come to Ukraine to find his final resting place there.
