P. Kulish dedicated the last years of his life to the translation of the Bible. Kulish hesitated with the publication of the translated Bible, and suddenly, a disaster happened. The farmstead Motronivka and all the property of the Kulish family burnt down. The translation that was almost completed also perished in fire. Panteleimon Kulish started translating over again.
